According to Lego, this game provides an "off the wall experience" featuring "unique power-up abilities"

Lego has been expanding into the entertainment space with collaborations with LucasArts and EA for Lego-branded Star Wars games, among many other partnerships. But its latest game, Lego 2K Drive, takes it to a whole new level. Developed by Visual Concepts, the same studio behind licensed WWE and NBA games owned by the 2K group, it brings the Lego universe to life in the context of an open world racing game, much like Forza Horizon, while also incorporating elements of Lego’s karting roots.

According to Lego, this game provides an "off the wall experience" featuring "unique power-up abilities". Set in Bricklandia with multiple themed regions, players can collect items and experience mini games apart from the main races. Players can also build their own cars and choose from vehicles from Lego's City, Creator, and Champions lines, including the McLaren Solus GT and McLaren F1 LM. There are single and multiplayer modes, as well as co-operative and competitive modes with two-player split-screen and online play for up to six players.

This is the first release in a multi-title partnership between Lego and 2K. In many ways, this game feels like a successor to the Lego Racers games from the '90s and early 2000s. Lego 2K Drive will be available on May 19th for the PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X and Series S, PC, and Nintendo Switch. It will also have standard, awesome, and awesome rivals editions, with prices ranging from $59.99 to $119.99.
