LG India has launched its latest range of AI-powered televisions, including the advanced LG OLED evo AI and LG QNED AI TVs. The 2024 lineup includes models from 108cm (43 inches) to 246cm (97 inches), with improvements in picture quality, sound, and personalisation.
Hong Ju Jeon, Managing Director of LG Electronics India, said, “We are proud to introduce the Next Generation of AI TVs, showcasing the forefront of innovation in both OLED and premium LED technologies. The 2024 lineup takes the viewing experience to a new level with an advanced processor that enables outstanding audio-visual experiences across various screen sizes while providing a personalised user experience tailored to each individual’s unique lifestyle and preferences.”
LG’s new OLED AI TVs have improved AI upscaling, making pictures clearer by analysing images at the pixel level. The AI processor refines colours to capture the original mood and tone as intended by directors. Additionally, the AI Sound Pro feature uses virtual 11.1.2 surround sound from the TV’s built-in speakers, enhancing immersion and ensuring clear dialogue.
The LG OLED TVs are designed for gamers, featuring Dolby Vision Gaming 4K at a 144Hz refresh rate. These models are NVIDIA G-SYNC certified and compatible with AMD FreeSync, eliminating tearing and stuttering for smooth gaming. The Game Optimizer feature allows gamers to switch between display presets for different gaming genres.
The 2024 QNED AI TVs feature a new generation of LCD technology that delivers bright and vibrant colours using Quantum Dot and NanoCell technologies. The QNED MiniLED TV, with its tiny LEDs, it offers sharp contrast and superb brightness through Precision Dimming technology, LG claims.
LG's webOS platform lets users create up to 10 individual profiles, customise the home screen, and set personalised settings. The WebOS Re:New program promises operating system upgrades for the next five years, revamping the user interface annually.
The TVs support Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos for enhanced image and sound quality. The FILMMAKER MODE allows users to watch films as directors intended, while the WOW Orchestra feature creates immersive three-dimensional audio by integrating the TV’s built-in speakers with soundbars.
LG TVs include various accessibility features to support users with different abilities. These features are accessible from the Home screen's Quick Card section, ensuring everyone can enjoy the technology. Additionally, the TVs come with Apple AirPlay and Google Chromecast built-in, allowing users to cast content from their mobile devices to the TV screen effortlessly.
