Both bagger bikes are powered by Indian’s latest V-twin engine, plus quite the comprehensive list of rider assist features as well.
Indian Motorcycle has updated its high-end, ultra-luxurious bagger bikes, the Challenger and Pursuit, for 2025 by introducing new limited Elite editions of both. Both have been launched for the global market and in the USA, the Indian Challenger Elite is priced at $39,999 (which is approximately ₹34.20 lakh), while the Pursuit Elite edition costs ₹49,999 (which is approximately ₹42.75 lakh). The former will be limited to 350 units, while only 250 Pursuit Editions will ever be manufactured.
Mechanically, both bikes will be powered by the brand’s 1,835 cc, V-Twin engine that produces 126 bhp and 180 Nm of peak torque. But more than the engine, it's that exclusive aesthetic treatment that both showcase in all its glory. For starters, each individually numbered Elite model gets custom-quality paint straight from the factory. The multi-layered painting process takes a full 24 hours to complete, to create a distinctive finish that sets these motorcycles apart.
The Indian Challenger Elite draws inspiration from Gene "Alabama Flash" Walker, who set a land-speed record in 1920 on his Indian PowerPlus. It features a tri-tone paint scheme with Black Candy and Red Candy finishes over Crystal White Pearl Satin paint, enhanced with shattered glass particles for more depth. Each bike gets an individually numbered centre console with an image of Walker's PowerPlus racer.
Meanwhile, the Indian Pursuit Elite takes inspiration from the production of 20,000 PowerPlus motorcycles in 1916 for the U.S. Army. This touring motorcycle showcases a tri-tone paint scheme with Black Candy and Black Forest Candy finishes, complemented by hand-painted Championship Gold accents.
Both the Elite models come with a comprehensive list of rider assist features including hill-hold assist, electronic combi brake assist, blind spot warning, tailgate warning, and rear collision warning system as well. Additionally, Indian's 7-inch Ride Command display with GPS navigation, Apple CarPlay, live traffic and weather overlays, and Electronically Adjustable Rear Suspension Preload are available with both as standard as well.
Both bikes also come equipped with premium components, including inverted performance fork, dual radial Brembo brakes, 5-spoke precision machined wheels, and Metzeler Cruise Tec tyres. Other standard features include Pathfinder Adaptive LED Headlights, adjustable windshields, keyless ignition, and remote locking storage.
While the latest Indian Challenger Elite and Pursuit Elite have been launched globally, their availability for the Indian market is not clear yet. While Indian Motorcycles are present in India, given the high cost of each bike, it has found very few takers. Coupled with the fact how niche and exclusive the new Challenger and Pursuit Elite bikes are – chances of any one coming here will be very niche.
