The Windsor Pro will have a bigger battery, new features, more safety and new styling elements compared to the standard Windsor.
JSW MG Motor India has announced that it will launch the longer range version of the Windsor in India on May 6, 2025. The new version will be called the Windsor Pro and the brand says that along with a bigger battery, the Windsor Pro will also come with new features, better safety, different interiors and new styling elements.
The Windsor Pro is expected to get a 50.6 kWh battery pack, with an expected claimed range of around 460 km on a full charge. The standard Windsor has a 38 kWh battery pack with a claimed range of 332 km. The Windsor Pro is expected to get the same powertrain as the standard Windsor – a single motor on the front axle producing 134 bhp and 200 Nm.
While not a lot is known about the Windsor Pro, MG says it will get new features. The standard Windsor is already packed with a lot of tech and it will be interesting to see what MG will add to the Windsor Pro. The regular Windsor comes with tech like a 15.6-inch infotainment touchscreen, a 10.1-inch virtual cluster, wireless smartphone connectivity, wireless charger, 9-speaker audio system by Infinity on the top-spec variants.
Currently, the Windsor is priced between ₹14 - 16 lakh (ex-showroom, India) and the Windsor Pro is expected to be priced between ₹16 - 18 lakh (ex-showroom, India), putting it in contention with the likes of the Mahindra BE 6 (₹18.90 - 24.50 lakh) and Tata Curvv EV (₹17.49 - 21.99 lakh).
