The newly introduced V6 SE assumes the top spot in the Emira hierarchy.
Lotus has once again revised its Emira lineup—this time introducing a new flagship model and a fresh entry-level variant, bringing greater differentiation across the range. The changes, which include performance tweaks, styling updates, and technical improvements, will take effect from September 2025.
The newly introduced V6 SE assumes the top spot in the Emira hierarchy. As the name implies, it retains the proven 3.5-litre supercharged V6 sourced from Toyota. The engine delivers 400 bhp and 420 Nm of torque, enabling a 0–100 kmph sprint in 4.3 seconds. Lotus has improved the driving experience by adding a new compression mount to the 6-speed manual transmission. To further sharpen the dynamics, Lotus has revised the damper calibration and wheel alignment settings. These updates are aimed at enhancing both handling response and ride comfort.
Visually, the V6 SE is marked out by 20-inch forged alloy wheels, red brake calipers, and a new standard paint finish called ‘Zing Grey’. Buyers can also opt for Lotus’s new ‘Racing Line’ exterior package, which includes a subtle pinstripe and body-coloured mirror caps for added distinction.
At the other end of the spectrum is the simply named Turbo, which now serves as the entry-level model. It uses the same 2.0-litre twin-scroll turbocharged four-cylinder engine as the existing Turbo SE but detuned slightly to produce 360 bhp and 430 Nm of torque. Despite the lower output, performance remains strong, with 0–100 kmph clocked at 4.4 seconds, just a tenth slower than the V6, and a top speed of 275 kmph compared to the V6’s 290 kmph.
The Turbo variant doesn’t skimp on features either. Standard equipment includes a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 190-watt audio system, and 12-way adjustable seats. Safety and driver assistance technologies are also on offer, with systems like Traffic Sign Recognition, Blind Spot Warning, and Fatigue Detection included as standard.
In addition to the model reshuffle, Lotus has rolled out technical upgrades across the Emira range. These include an optimised heating system for better coolant flow, and a higher engine start-up temperature, both of which aim to improve cold-weather reliability, particularly relevant for markets like the UK.
The Lotus Emira V6 SE will be priced at £96,500 (approx. ₹1.12 crore), while the new entry-level Turbo comes in at £79,500 (approx. ₹92.45 lakh). Both models will be available starting September 2025, with the Turbo SE now positioned as the mid-spec offering in the lineup.
