The Fronx sold in Japan comes with ADAS features as well.
The Suzuki Fronx was recently crash tested by the Japanese New Car Assessment Program (JNCAP) and went on to score a four-star safety rating. The tested model was built and manufactured in India. It comes equipped with all the safety features that are already on offer here with the India-spec Fronx, which include six airbags, ESP, hill-hold assist, a 360-degree camera, and ISOFIX child seats. Additionally, it also gets Level-2 ADAS features like lane departure warning, frontal collision alert, etc.
The Japanese-spec Suzuki Fronx achieved an impressive overall score of 84 per cent in the assessment, earning 163.75 points out of 193.8 points. In the preventive safety performance evaluation, the vehicle scored 79.42 points from a maximum of 85.8, while in the collision safety performance test, it received 76.33 points out of 100.

For the offset frontal collision test, the Suzuki Fronx secured 21.08 points from a possible 24. The vehicle also achieved the maximum level 5 rating in several categories, including full-wrap frontal collision, side collision, and pedestrian leg protection performance tests. The Fronx also scored 5 stars in side collision, and pedestrian leg protection, while neck injury during rear collision was at 4 stars. However, the Fronx fell short in pedestrian head protection to score just 3 stars.

In India, the Maruti Suzuki Fronx is priced from ₹7.54 lakh to ₹12.90 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). There are two engine options to choose from: a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated engine or a 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine. Transmission choices include a 5-speed manual and 5-speed automated manual for the standard engine, while the turbo variant offers a 5-speed manual or 6-speed automatic gearbox.
