The Mahindra Scorpio Pik Ups exported to Indonesia will play a crucial role in enhancing logistics for Koperasi (Cooperatives) being set up in the country.
Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (M&M) has secured its largest-ever export order, announcing plans to supply 35,000 units of the Scorpio Pik Up to Agrinas Pangan Nusantara, an Indonesian state-owned enterprise, in 2026. The order marks a significant milestone for Mahindra’s international business, as it exceeds the company’s total export volumes recorded in FY25.
The vehicles will be deployed under Indonesia’s Koperasi Desa/Kelurahan Merah Putih (KDKMP) Project, a government-led initiative aimed at strengthening village-level cooperatives and improving food distribution networks across the country. The Scorpio Pik Ups are expected to play a key role in enhancing logistics efficiency and supporting Indonesia’s broader national food security transformation.
As part of the partnership, Mahindra and Agrinas Pangan Nusantara will collaborate to equip cooperatives with reliable last- and first-mile mobility solutions. The objective is to enable a smoother flow of fresh agricultural produce from farmers to marketplaces, helping reduce supply chain gaps while empowering rural communities to function as independent economic units.

Commenting on the development, Nalinikanth Gollagunta, CEO, Automotive Division, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., said, “We are looking forward to this association and to supporting Indonesia’s Koperasi through our partnership with Agrinas Pangan Nusantara. By deploying the Scorpio Pik Ups as a part of the Koperasi, we are strengthening a reliable logistics backbone that connects farmers to markets more efficiently. Our Pik Ups are engineered to perform in tough conditions while keeping operating costs to a minimum.”

The Scorpio Pik Ups will be manufactured at Mahindra’s Nashik plant and are known globally for their durability, payload capacity, and cost efficiency. Designed to handle rough rural roads and farm tracks, the vehicles will support first-mile aggregation, transporting produce from farms to cooperatives, as well as intra-village logistics within the cooperative network.
The Scorpio Pik Up shares its underpinnings with the Mahindra Scorpio Classic which is powered by the same 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine. This motor kicks out 140 bhp and 320 Nm of peak torque. Transmission duties are carried out by a 6-speed manual gearbox which is paired with a 4x4 drivetrain.
