Mahindra BE 6 Batman Edition Launched In India – All You Need To Know

Mahindra just launched a very special edition of the Batman Edition of the BE 6 electric SUV at ₹27.79 lakh (ex-showroom, India). It’s an official collaboration between Mahindra and Warner Bros, making it the first time an automotive manufacturer has collaborated with the comic’s Dark Knight. The BE 6 Batman Edition is based on the top-spec Pack Three variant of the compact electric SUV. 

The BE 6 Batman Edition gets a Matte Black paint with Gloss Black accents on the wheel arches and side skirts. It also gets Batman emblems on the tailgate, fenders and seats. It also gets a Batman decal on the front doors, as well as an illuminated glass roof with a Batman emblem. It also gets special 20-inch alloy wheels with a Batman logo. 

The Batman Editions will be limited to just 300 units, and all cars will be numbered with a special plaque on the centre console. The cabin gets a black and gold theme with the latter present prominently on the dashboard. It also gets gold accents on the centre console, gear level, key and rotary dial. It also gets a Batman-themed sound mode as well as a Batman logo on the instrument cluster on startup. 

The BE 6 Batman Edition is based on the top-spec Pack Three variant, which means it gets features like two 12.3-inch screens, connected car tech, ambient lighting, wireless charger, auto wipers, auto headlamps, seven airbags, ISOFIX, stability control and ADAS. 

Since it’s based on the top-spec variant, it gets the larger 79 kWh battery pack with a 683 km range (ARAI tested). It also gets a rear axle-mounted electric motor with 282 bhp and 380 Nm. 

The BE 6 Batman Edition is quite unique, but it rivals the likes of the other dark edition electric SUVs, such as the Tata Curvv EV Dark Edition and Tata Harrier EV Stealth Edition. Other electric SUVs like the MG ZS EV, MG Windsor and Hyundai Creta Electric don’t have a dark edition right now.
