Mahindra unveiled seven new models from the Oja range, distributed across three platforms.
Mahindra Tractors introduced the Mahindra Oja series of tractors, a range of lightweight four-wheel-drive (4WD) tractors, the result of an Rs. 1200 crore investment and collaboration with Mitsubishi Mahindra Agriculture Machinery of Japan. The entire Mahindra Oja tractor lineup will be manufactured at the company's advanced tractor facility situated in Zaheerabad, Telangana, and will be exported across six continents: North America, ASEAN, Brazil, Australia, South Africa, Europe, and the SAARC region. Mahindra's entry into the ASEAN market is particularly noteworthy, with Thailand being the first stop in 2024.
Mahindra unveiled seven new models from the Oja range, distributed across three platforms- sub-compact, compact, and small utility. These models exhibit a power range between 20hp and 40hp. Significantly, all Oja tractors boast pioneering features that fall into three technology categories: Myoja (telematics pack), Proja (productivity pack), and Roboja (automation pack).
Under the Myoja package, Oja tractors benefit from telematics capabilities like GPS live location tracking, service alerts, critical notifications, diesel monitoring, and coverage and trip calculations. The Proja package introduces valuable features such as a creeper mode, compact engine technology, F/R shuttle, tilt and telescopic steering, and wet electric PTO. Meanwhile, the Roboja package takes automation a step further with offerings like auto PTO, auto implement lift, and auto one-side braking.
Pricing details have also emerged for some of the new models. For instance, the Mahindra Oja 2127 is slated to be priced at Rs. 5.64 lakh (ex-showroom, Pune), while the Mahindra Oja 3140 will be available for Rs. 7.35 lakh (ex-showroom, Pune). These tractors are anticipated to become available for purchase in October.
