Alyte was earlier known as Meru Cabs and was initially reserved for corporate clients.
What was earlier known as Meru Cabs will now be known as Alyte, Mahindra’s latest Business-To-Consumer (B2C) cab-hailing service. Alyte will begin its services in Delhi NCR, with expansions planned for Noida International Airport, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad and more cities.
Alyte is not a new service, however. It was earlier serving corporate clients under the Mahindra Logistics Limited (MLL). Alyte will have two categories of services – Privé and Select. The former will have electric vehicles in the fleet, with cars like the Mahindra XUV400 in service. Select will have sedans and SUVs with models like the Tata Xpres-T as a part of the package. The Select service will be more affordable, apparently.
On the app, Alyte offers services for Airport pickup and drop, rentals by the hour + distance, outstation trips and rides within the city. Users will also have the option to book the cab instantly or even schedule it for later. Payment options will include cash, app wallet, card, UPI and QR Scan. Alyte, like other ride-hailing services, will also offer real-time tracking for rides.
Hemant Sikka, Managing Director & CEO, Mahindra Logistics Limited, said, “With Alyte, we are building on a trusted legacy to reimagine urban and airport mobility through a premium, tech-enabled platform that shapes the future of people mobility.”
