Mahindra Teases New Platform Ahead of August 15 Debut

As we reported earlier this year, Mahindra is gearing up to reveal a new platform for its upcoming cars on August 15, 2025. Ahead of that, Mahindra has released a new teaser for the same. The platform is likely to be called NU, as per the teaser. 

The new platform is likely to be focused on Mahindra’s upcoming electric vehicles, as the teaser shows the logo for the brand’s electric vehicle division, despite the teaser being shared by the brand’s ICE division. 

The brand has not yet disclosed which models will be based on the new platform, but it is likely to play a critical role in helping Mahindra become more future-ready. The new platform could also be used for ICE models, since the teaser has the logo for both divisions of the brand. 

The new platform is likely to have provisions for petrol, diesel, hybrid and all-electric powertrains. The four colours in the teaser could indicate the different fuel types the new platform could incorporate. The platform will be produced at the firm’s Chakan plant, which is also being upgraded to have more manufacturing capacity. 

For a few years now, Mahindra Auto has showcased a variety of new products and concepts on Indian Independence Day, and this year will be no different. Instead of new cars and concepts, Mahindra is now showcasing a new platform on August 15.
