Mahindra Thar Roxx Star Edition Launched, Prices Start At ₹16.85 Lakh

Mahindra has introduced the new Thar Roxx Star Edition, bringing aesthetic upgrades to the popular SUV. The new Mahindra Thar Roxx Star Edition is priced from ₹16.85 lakh, going up to ₹18.35 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), and is available in both petrol and diesel engine options. That said, the petrol version is available only in the automatic guise, while the diesel gets both manual and automatic transmission choices.

Visually, the new Mahindra Thar Roxx Star Edition comes with a new piano black finished grille and 19-inch alloy wheels. There’s a new paint option called ‘Citrine Yellow’, which will be available alongside the Tango Red, Everest White and Stealth Black colours on the special edition. The cabin is now upholstered in new all-black leatherette seats with suede accents. In contrast, the regular versions get white or mocha-coloured cabin upholstery, depending on the variant.

Engine options on the Thar Roxx Star Editions remain the same. The petrol version gets the 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine tuned for 174 bhp and 380 Nm of peak torque, paired only with an automatic transmission. The 2.2-litre mHawk diesel produces 172 bhp and 400 Nm of peak torque, paired with a 6-speed manual and torque converter. All three versions send power only to the rear wheels.

The Mahindra Thar Roxx arrived in 2024, and has been a popular seller for the automaker. The special edition infuses some freshness into the model, especially with the arrival of newer offerings in the same space. This includes the Tata Sierra, new-gen Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Victoris, and more.
