Mahindra has revealed that the rebranded Mahindra XUV700 will make its debut on January 5, 2026. The company had already confirmed the launch of the facelifted model, which will be called  XUV 7XO. Mahindra has now shared another teaser of its facelifted mid-size SUV, confirming that pre-bookings will begin from 15 December 2025 for a token amount of ₹21,000.

Mahindra XUV 7XO: Expected Visual Changes

The latest teaser shows some new glimpses of the upcoming Mahindra XUV 7XO suggesting a few key visual updates. For instance, the front fascia of this mid-size SUV will undergo some serious updates, including a revised vertical bronze-slatted grille with piano black inserts. The lighting setup appears to draw inspiration from the Mahindra XEV 9S, which was launched a few weeks ago.

These include boomerang-shaped LED DRLs, trapezoidal front LED light units, and new taillights with hexagonal detailing. The latest clip reveals updated dual-pod projector LED headlamps and new daytime running lights. Recent spy images have also suggested subtle tweaks to the front and rear bumpers. Changes in the sheet metal of the body are also expected.

The front bumper, moreover, will have sharper air dams and a more robust skid plate. The XUV 7XO is also expected to receive a new set of alloy wheels. At the rear, the design largely remains familiar, barring a new XUV 7XO badge.

Mahindra XUV 7XO: Expected Feature Updates

Recent spy images have offered a clearer look at the refreshed cabin. The facelifted XUV 7XO is set to feature a new triple-display arrangement, similar to what we’ve seen on the XEV 9e and the upcoming XEV 9s. The interior is expected to continue with its light-themed design, complemented by beige upholstery.

Beyond this, the XUV 7XO is likely to have several new features, depending on variant. These may include massaging front seats, rear ventilated seats for the 6-seater variants, an enhanced 16-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, multi-colour ambient lighting, and an additional wireless charger. Sliding middle-row seats are also anticipated, improving overall practicality. Most existing features are expected to be retained, such as wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, ventilated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, a powered driver’s seat with memory function, and dual-zone climate control.

Safety equipment is likely to remain unchanged as well. This includes up to seven airbags (six as standard), electronic stability control (ESC), automatic headlamps, 360-degree cameras, a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), ISOFIX child-seat mounts, an electronic parking brake, and Level 2 ADAS functionality.

Mahindra XUV 7XO: Expected Powertrain

The facelifted Mahindra XUV 7XO is expected to retain its predecessor’s powertrain options, comprising a 2.0-litre mStallion turbocharged petrol engine and a 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine. Both units will continue to be offered with a choice of a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque-converter automatic transmission.
