Prices for the updated Grand Vitara start at ₹13.48 (ex-showroom, India), and it also gets a few new features.
Maruti Suzuki has updated the Grand Vitara CNG for 2025. The updated version has been launched at ₹13.48 lakh (ex-showroom, India), and it now comes with six airbags as standard, like the standard Grand Vitara. It also features a few new additions.
The new Grand Vitara CNG is available in two variants, as before. It gets the Delta and Zeta variants, which are priced at ₹13.48 and 15.62 lakh, respectively. Compared to their petrol counterparts, the CNG variants are ₹95,000 more expensive. Maruti Suzuki had silently removed the CNG from the Grand Vitara’s line-up in April, and it has now relaunched the alternate fuel-option version for the compact SUV. After the reintroduction, the Grand Vitara CNG is now more expensive by up to ₹41,000.
Variants | New Price | Old Price | Difference |
---|---|---|---|
Delta CNG MT | ₹13.48 lakh | ₹13.25 lakh | ₹23,000 |
Zeta CNG MT | ₹15.62 lakh | ₹15.21 lakh | ₹41,000 |
The Zeta CNG variant of the Grand Vitara now comes with features like ventilated seats, a wireless charger, and a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS). This justifies the additional price hike for the Zeta, compared to the Delta variants.
Other features on the Grand Vitara include an air purifier, a 9-inch infotainment touchscreen with wireless connectivity, reverse camera, automatic climate control, rear AC vents, and more. Safety features onboard include six airbags, stability control, ABS with EBD, hill-hold control, all four disc brakes, and ISOFIX child seat anchors.
The Grand Vitara CNG gets a 1.5-litre petrol engine with 87 bhp and 121.5 Nm in CNG mode. It has a fuel efficiency of 26.6 km per kg and only comes with a 5-speed manual transmission. The Grand Vitara also gets a petrol and a strong-hybrid powertrain.
Maruti Suzuki’s compact SUV recently crossed the 3 lakh sales milestone, achieving this feat in just 32 months. The Grand Vitara rivals the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Volkswagen Taigun, Skoda Kushaq, MG Astor, Tata Curvv, Citroën Basalt, Citroën Aircross, Honda Elevate and Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder. Of these, only the Hyryder offers a factory-fitted CNG kit, while the Elevate gets a dealer-level fitment.
