Maruti Suzuki plans to open 8,000 service points by 2030-31, with 1,500 EV-enabled workshops in more than 1,000 cities.
Maruti Suzuki has crossed a big milestone. The company sold three crore passenger vehicles in India as of November 2025. The journey began in December 1983 with the first Maruti 800. Maruti Suzuki is now the only passenger car manufacturer in India to cross this figure.
The journey to this number shows steady growth. The company took 28 years and two months to reach the first one crore sales. The next one crore sales were achieved in seven years and five months. The most recent one crore vehicles were sold in just six years and four months.
Among models, Alto leads with more than 47 lakh units sold. Wagon R and Swift follow with around 34 lakh and 32 lakh units. Brezza and Fronx are also among the ten most sold cars in the country.

2025 saw other major achievements. In October, Maruti Suzuki reported its highest-ever monthly sales. Total sales hit 2,20,894 units and domestic sales reached 1,80,675 units, setting new records.
During the festive period, Maruti Suzuki received over five lakh bookings and sold more than 4.1 lakh vehicles. In May, its service network handled a record 24.5 lakh vehicles across more than 5,400 locations.
Exports have also grown. In the first half of FY2025-26, Maruti Suzuki exported over two lakh vehicles, up 40 percent year-on-year. This is the highest half-yearly export figure for the brand. The Jimny 5-door model crossed one lakh exports worldwide, and the Fronx shipped over one lakh units to new markets within 25 months of launch.
The company has plans to grow further. Maruti Suzuki aims for a 50 percent market share in India by 2030-31 and wants to increase exports to around 800,000 units yearly. A new plant in Kharkhoda, Haryana will open in 2025.
The service network will also expand. Maruti Suzuki plans to open 8,000 service points by 2030-31, with 1,500 EV-enabled workshops in more than 1,000 cities.
