Matter Aera 5000 Launched In Delhi At ₹1.94 Lakh

Matter Energy has expanded its retail footprint in the country by launching its debut and sole offering, the Aera 5000 electric bike in Delhi. Priced at ₹1.94 lakh (ex-showroom), the world’s only geared electric motorcycle, the Aera 5000 is priced the same in the national capital as it is inin Bengaluru, Pune, and Ahmedabad the electric bike debuted at ₹1.74 lakh (starting ex-showroom). Deliveries for the bike will start from the festive season onwards, however, bookings can be made prior to that via the company’s official website.

Matter’s USP is its 4-speed gearbox on the Aera 5000 that is aimed at offering a manual gearbox feel with an electric bike. For starters, it is powered by a 5 kWh battery pack that is good 125 km of real world range on a single charge. The battery comes mated to a 10.5 kW electric motor, which gets its own liquid-cooling system, thus adding another layer of sophistication to it. 

On the dashboard, a massive 7-inch touchscreen takes care of all controls. It already supports Bluetooth connectivity for turn-by-turn navigation, call/SMS alert, via the MatterVerse mobile application.
