Deliveries for the AMG GT 63 will begin later this year, while the GT 63 Pro will be delivered from early next year.
Mercedes-Benz India has launched the AMG GT 63 and GT 63 Pro in India. The former is priced at ₹3 crore, while the latter is priced at ₹3.65 crore (both, ex-showroom, India). This is the second generation of the AMG GT, and the previous version was also priced upwards of ₹2 crore.
Both variants are powered by a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine, which is now a staple in many AMG models. In the standard GT 63, it produces 576 bhp and 800 Nm, while in the Pro, it churns out 603 bhp and 850 Nm. The GT 63 can do the 0-100 kmph run in 3.2 seconds, while the GT 63 Pro takes 3.1 seconds with the cup tyres, claims Mercedes-AMG. While the standard AMG GT 63 has a top speed of 315 kmph, the Pro has a top speed of 317 kmph (claimed). Both send power to all four wheels via a 9-speed automatic transmission.
The AMG GT 63 Pro also gets carbon ceramic brakes as standard, while it is offered as an optional extra on the regular GT 63. Other standard equipment on the Pro includes the AMG Ride Control suspension with rear axle steering and AMG Performance seats.
While the GT 63 will be a 2+2 seater, the Pro will just be a strict two-seater. Both have an 11.6-inch infotainment touchscreen, a 12.3-inch virtual cluster and a Burmester audio system with Dolby Atmos. The cabin gets four colour options – Black, Red + Black, Sage Grey + Black and Sienna Brown + Black.
Cosmetically, both cars look quite similar, but the Pro has more hardcore aerodynamics. The Pro has a fixed rear wing, a more aggressive front bumper with larger intakes, and the carbon fibre package is standard. The GT 63 and GT 63 Pro are available in five standard colours – Sun Yellow solid, High Tech Silver metallic, Selenite Grey metallic, Spectral Blue metallic and Obsidian Black metallic. They also get seven Manufaktur colours – Patagonia Red Bright, Opalith White Bright, Alpine Grey Solid, Spectral Blue Magno, Opalith White Magno, Hyper Blue Magno and Green Hell Magno.
Deliveries for the AMG GT 63 will begin in the last quarter of 2025, i.e. between October and December of 2025. Whereas deliveries for the GT 63 Pro will begin from Q1 2026, i.e. between January and March 2026. The AMG GT 63 will rival the likes of the Porsche 911, Maserati GranTurismo and Aston Martin Vantage.
