In India, the EQA is only available in a single variant, the EQA 250+.
Mercedes-Benz India has launched the EQA in India at ₹66 lakh (ex-showroom, India). It is the smallest electric vehicle (EV) from the German marque in India. The EQA is an all-electric version of the Mercedes-Benz GLA.
In India, Mercedes-Benz has launched the facelifted version of the EQA, which was introduced in 2023. It gets a slim LED lightbar at the front, a black panel front grille with a star pattern, chrome accents in the bumpers and side skirts, 19-inch dual-tone alloy wheels as well as a lightbar connecting the taillamps. There are seven colour options available on the EQA which include Polar White, High-tech Silver, Cosmos Black, Mountain Grey, Spectral Blue, Patagonia Red and Mountain Grey Magno.
The EQA measures 4463 mm, 1834 mm and 1624 mm in length, width and height, respectively. In comparison to the GLA, the EQA is 27 mm longer and 19 mm taller but is identical in width.
Inside, its cabin isn’t much different compared to the GLA apart from the copper accents in the AC vents and a three-pointed star motif on the door and dashboard trim. The cabin gets a dual-tone Grey and Rose Gold finish and comes with Mercedes-Benz’s new steering wheel.
The EQA gets a dual 10.25-inch binnacle where one screen is the infotainment touchscreen running MBUX with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay as well as gesture controls. The other screen is a digital instrument cluster. Other features of the EQA include ambient lighting, four driving modes, three regen modes, a 12-speaker Burmester audio system, run-flat tyres, blind spot monitoring, a head-up display, a wireless charger, five USB Type C ports, dual-zone climate control, electrically adjustable front seats, connected car tech and a 360-degree camera.
The Mercedes-Benz EQA 250+ gets a front axle-mounted electric motor producing 186 bhp and 385 Nm. Mercedes-Benz claims the EQA 250+ can do the 0-100 kmph run in 8.6 seconds and has a top speed of 160 kmph. Its 70.5 kWh battery pack is claimed to have a WLTP range of up to 560 km. With a 100 kW DC fast charger, the battery can be charged from 10 - 80 per cent in 35 minutes and it can be fully charged in 7 hours 15 minutes using an 11 kW charger.
The EQA rivals the BMW iX1 (66.90 lakh), Volvo XC40 Recharge (₹54.95 - 59.70 lakh), Hyundai Ioniq 5 (₹46.05 lakh) and Kia EV6 (₹60.95 - 66.95 lakh).
