Cosmetically, the GLA-Class gets new headlamps and taillamps, grille and bumpers. The GLA gets Progressive and AMG-Line trims, where the former has a different bumper design with chrome elements and vertical slats in the grille. The AMG-Line gets a diamond pattern in the grille and body-coloured bumpers. It also gets a new Spectral Blue colour option and new designs for the alloy wheels.
New features on the GLA-Class include keyless go, gesture control for the tailgate, new MBUX operating system for the touchscreen, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, 360-degree camera and blind spot assist. Other features include a panoramic sunroof, wireless charger, cruise control, two 10.25-inch displays and more. Safety features include 7 airbags, active braking assist, adaptive high beam assist and more.
The GLA-Class continues to come with two engine options. It has a 1.3-litre petrol engine with 161 bhp and 270 Nm mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox and an ARAI-certified fuel efficiency of 17.4 kmpl. It also has a 2.0-litre diesel engine with 188 bhp and 400 Nm mated to an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox with an ARAI-certified fuel efficiency of 18.9 kmpl.
