The new Gloster Desertstorm and Snowstorm models add distinctive exterior and interior designs.
MG Motor India launched two new variants of its premium SUV, the MG Gloster, named the Desertstorm and Snowstorm series. The new Gloster Desertstorm and Snowstorm models add distinctive exterior and interior designs and are priced at ₹41.05 lakh (ex-showroom, India). It is up to ₹2.82 lakh more affordable than Gloster Blackstorm, offered in a seven-seat layout while the six-seat trim is limited to the Desertstorm edition.
The Gloster Desertstorm features a Deep Golden exterior, complemented by black highlights. The black grille, alloy wheels with red callipers, dark-themed ORVMs, and LED headlamps and tail lamps enhance its bold look. Inside, the black-themed interior aims to elevate the driving experience with premium ambient elements and a black steering wheel with white stitching.
In contrast, the Snowstorm variant exudes a refined elegance with its dual-tone Pearl White and Black exterior. Red accents on the headlamps and bumpers, along with a black finish on the grille, alloys, and rear spoiler, add a touch of sophistication. The smoked black taillights contribute to its mystique. The interior features black seats and a steering wheel with white stitching, maintaining a refined and inviting atmosphere.
Both the Desertstorm and Snowstorm variants inherit the standard Gloster's comfort and space, equipped with MG's Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS). Safety features include Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB), Lane Departure Warning (LDW), Blind Spot Detection (BSD), Lane Change Assist (LCA), Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA), and Driver Open Warning (DOW). Additional amenities include a dual panoramic sunroof, a 12-way power-adjustable driver seat with massage and ventilation functions, and wireless charging.
Under the hood, the MG Gloster is powered by a 2.0-litre diesel engine lineup, with a special twin-turbo version delivering 213 bhp of power. It offers Intelligent 4WD with an All-Terrain System featuring seven drive modes. The Desertstorm variant is available in both 4WD and 2WD options with 6-seater and 7-seater configurations, while the Snowstorm is exclusively a 7-seater.
