MG Motor India has expanded its all-electric Windsor lineup with the introduction of the Windsor EV Pro, bringing a more feature-rich and performance-oriented offering to the table. While both variants share the same platform and overall design language, the Pro version introduces several enhancements that cater to buyers seeking longer range, improved technology, and added comfort.

The most significant upgrade in the Windsor EV Pro lies in its battery capacity. The standard Windsor EV is equipped with a 38 kWh battery, delivering a claimed range of 332 km. In contrast, the Windsor EV Pro gets a larger 52.9 kWh battery pack, which boosts the range considerably to 449 km on a single charge.
Both variants offer identical power and torque figures—134 bhp and 200 Nm—indicating that the performance in terms of acceleration and drive feel remains largely unchanged. However, the Pro variant edges ahead with a quicker DC fast-charging time of 50 minutes (20% to 80%) using a 60 kW charger, compared to approximately 55 minutes in the standard version.
When it comes to onboard tech and features, the Windsor EV Pro is clearly the more advanced option. It introduces an Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) suite, offering functions such as lane keeping, adaptive cruise control, and emergency braking—none of which are available on the standard Windsor EV. Additionally, the Pro variant is equipped with Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) and Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) charging capabilities, allowing it to share power with external devices or even charge other EVs—features typically seen in higher-end electric vehicles.
Other shared features include a panoramic glass roof, ventilated front seats, a premium Infinity 9-speaker audio system, ambient lighting, and an integrated air purifier.
While the overall silhouette and design philosophy remain unchanged, the Windsor EV Pro introduces a few subtle design tweaks. The only visible exterior update is a new design for the 18-inch alloy wheels, which resemble those seen on the MG Hector. The Pro variant also comes in three new exterior shades—Celadon Blue, Glaze Red, and Aurora Silver—adding a splash of freshness to the familiar body shape.
Inside the cabin, the Pro adopts a beige interior theme that replaces the all-black finish seen in the standard Windsor. This change extends across the seats, armrests, roof liner, and pillars, giving the Pro a brighter and more premium feel compared to its predecessor.
The introduction of a larger battery in the Pro variant has a minor impact on cargo space. Boot capacity is slightly reduced to 579 litres, compared to the 604 litres available in the standard Windsor. While not a deal-breaker for most, it's a practical consideration for buyers who prioritise storage space.
The Windsor EV Pro is priced at ₹17.49 lakh (ex-showroom, India) for the first 8,000 bookings, while its equivalent standard Windsor EV Essence is priced at ₹16.15 lakh (all prices ex-showroom, India). MG also offers a Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) model, which significantly reduces the upfront cost.
Variants | Price under BaaS Model | Price With Battery |
Excite | ₹10 lakh | ₹14 lakh |
Exclusive | ₹11 lakh | ₹15.05 lakh |
Essence | ₹12 lakh | ₹16.15 lakh |

Under BaaS, the Windsor Pro can be purchased for ₹12.50 lakh, with a separate battery subscription at ₹4.5 per km. The standard version is similarly available under BaaS for ₹12 lakh.
