The Cooper SE could be priced around ₹50 - 55 lakh (ex-showroom, India).
Mini India is gearing up to launch two new products in India, the Cooper S and Countryman SE. The hatchback will come with a petrol powertrain, while the SUV will come with an all-electric powertrain. Bookings for the new Cooper S commenced in June and can be booked by paying a token amount of ₹1 lakh.

Currently, the Cooper S is priced in India at ₹42.70 lakh and the upcoming model will be priced at a premium. We expect the new Cooper S will be priced around the ₹50-55 lakh mark. While it doesn’t have a direct competitor in India, it will rival the likes of the Mercedes-Benz A-Class (₹46.05 lakh), Mercedes-Benz GLA (₹51.75 - 58.15 lakh), BMW 2 Series (₹45.90 - 46.90 lakh), BMW X1 (₹49.50 - 52.50 lakh) and Audi Q3 (₹44.25 - 54.65 lakh), all prices are ex-showroom, India.
The new Mini Cooper was introduced globally in September 2021 with an all-electric powertrain. The new Cooper with the petrol engine debuted in February this year. The Cooper S gets a 201 bhp, 300 Nm, 2.0-litre turbo-petrol mated to a dual-clutch automatic transmission.

The fourth-gen model retains its iconic design language with circular headlamps which get LED DRLs. The grille has a more hexagonal design than the current model's circular one. It has up to 18-inch alloy wheels with disc brakes on all four wheels. The taillamps get a new ‘Union Jack’ lighting signature. Mini India will offer the Cooper S – Ocean Wave Green, Sunny Side Yellow, British Racing Green, Chilli Red II and Blazing Blue

Inside, the Mini Cooper SE gets a 9.4-inch infotainment touchscreen that runs on Mini Operating System 9 and has an OLED display. The driver’s display has been moved into the infotainment screen. It also has a fish-eye in-car camera, Mini Experience modes, connected car tech, digital key, power-adjustable seats and ADAS with 12 cameras.
