The made-in-India BMW adventure tourer will make its public debut at EICMA 2024.
The next chapter in the Indo-Bavarian partnership is nearly upon us. BMW is readying its new F 450 GS adventure tourer with the production-ready test mule spotted on test in Europe. First shown as a concept at EICMA 2024 and Auto Expo earlier this year, the final form will be revealed at the Italian motor show this year. The bike has changed quite a bit from its concept form, though.
The most obvious change is the disappearance of the cross-spoke wheels for lightweight alloys. The 19-/17-inch wheel size remains the same. It looks more complete now, with a regular-sized windshield and flared body. It no longer has a rally seat but a more traditional touring-friendly seating space.
Powering the bike is a new 450 cc parallel-twin mill that aims to make roughly 45-50 bhp. The prominent exhaust looks a lot better packaged and finished than the outgoing G 310 GS. The motorcycle is expected to have a six-speed gearbox with a bi-directional quickshifter as well as a semi-automatic gearbox option.
We expect BMW to introduce this bike in the Indian market by early-2026 with the asking price likely to be around ₹4.5 lakh - ₹5 lakh (ex-showroom India).
