Wanted: The Escape of Carlos Ghosn offers in-depth look into Ghosn's meteoric rise & downfall as chairman of Nissan & Renault.
A new four-part documentary series chronicling the dramatic story of former auto titan Carlos Ghosn premiers globally on Apple TV+ today, August 25.
The series "Wanted: The Escape of Carlos Ghosn" provides an in-depth look into Ghosn's meteoric rise and shocking downfall as chairman of Nissan and Renault. It features unparalleled access to key figures involved in the saga, including ex-Green Beret Mike Taylor, who masterminded Ghosn's escape from Japan.
Most notably, Ghosn gives his first public account of the entire ordeal, from his pioneering leadership in the auto industry to his multiple arrests in Japan over financial misconduct charges to his cinematic escape to Lebanon stuffed in a music equipment box.
Inspired by the book "Boundless" by Wall Street Journal reporters Nick Kostov and Sean McLain, the documentary contains never-before-seen interviews and footage chronicling the global saga. It provides insight into Ghosn's tenure at Nissan, his imprisonment in Japan, and his secretive journey fleeing to Beirut.
Produced by Box To Box Films, "Wanted: The Escape of Carlos Ghosn" is directed by acclaimed filmmaker James Jones. It promises to shed new light on one of the decade's most shocking white-collar crime stories that captured headlines worldwide.
Ghosn's story has riveted audiences globally, with Netflix releasing the Fugitive: The Curious Case of Carlos Ghosn documentary last year, and the new Apple TV+ series aims to unravel the mysteries behind his shocking reversal of fortune.
