The Xtec 2.0 slots above the Hero Splendor+ Xtec.
To further strengthen its hold in the 100 cc commuter motorcycle segment, Hero has launched a new iteration of the Splendor+. Called the Splendor+ Xtec 2.0, this new model at ₹82,911 (ex-showroom, Delhi) costs almost ₹3,500 more than the Splendor+ Xtec.
For this additional price, the new Hero Splendor+ Xtec 2.0 gains a few additional features. Starting with the new LED headlight that gets the High-Intensity Position Lamp integrated inside, an H-shaped tail lamp to help it separate its appeal from the standard Splendor+ Xtec 2.0. Additionally, it also packs in a USB charging slot, dedicated hazard switch light, side-stand engine cut-off, and three new colour options - Matte Grey, Gloss Black and Gloss Red.
Components that have remained the same include the 97.2 cc, air-cooled single-cylinder engine with the same 7.9 bhp and 8.05 Nm output with Hero’s trademarked i3S system i.e. idle-start-and-stop. The fully digital cluster is also the same, which gets Bluetooth connectivity for call/SMS alerts and gives you the real-time mileage data of the bike.
At ₹82,911, the new Hero Splendor+ Xtec 2.0 is quite an expensive proposition. Especially, when you consider its competition which includes the Bajaj Platina 110 ABS (₹80,275), and Honda CD 110 Dream (₹73,400).
