Besides ushering in a fresh new body design, the new TVS Jupiter 110 has also grown dimensionally and more powerful.
As the automotive industry gears up for the upcoming festive season, TVS has kicked off its innings by launching a new iteration of its most popular family scooter, the TVS Jupiter 110. Prices start from ₹73,700 for the base Drum brake variant, while the top-spec Jupiter 110 Disc SXC will set you back by ₹87,250.
Built on an entirely new platform, the 2024 TVS Jupiter 110 also ushers in a brand-new design with increased dimension. Beyond that, the Hosur-based manufacturer has also enhanced its feature list and updated the engine.
Starting with one of the most apparent changes — its design. With this new style, the new TVS Jupiter 110 looks sharper and has a much more premium appeal than its elder sibling, the Jupiter 125.
This primarily boils down to the new apron design, which is made out of metal, with a modern-looking DRL line that TVS is calling "Infinity Lamp" (only available in the top variant. There’s also a lovely piano black panel on the other variants. The latter can also be found on the rear panel beneath the tail light, and just like the front, the tail light has also been swapped for a nice, sleek LED unit. The indicators are integrated into these DRLs, both at the front and rear.
Plus, the new TVS Jupiter 110 also debuts brand new colour options, namely, Dawn Blue Matte, Galactic Copper Matte, Lunar White Gloss, Starlight Blue Gloss, Meteor Red Gloss, and Titanium Grey Matte.
Besides growing in size, the TVS Jupiter 110 has become more powerful. This is courtesy of the bigger engine, which now has a capacity of 113.3 cc, unlike the 109.7 cc available before. This new mill now produces 0.4 Nm more torque at 9.2 Nm and 0.2 bhp more power at 7.9 bhp.
TVS is also equipping this engine with iGo assist, a mild hybrid assist similar to the one available with Yamaha 125 cc scooters. This new assist has a mild boost in roll-on performance and improved fuel efficiency. The new TVS Jupiter 110 is also available with a start/stop assist, which will further help optimise fuel consumption.
While base-spec variants are still available with the analogue instrument cluster, the top-spec Jupiter 110 debuts a new reverse LCD fully digital instrument cluster, supporting TVS’ SmartXonnect system. Thus, the brand’s full plethora of connectivity features, including call/SMS alerts, notifications, navigation assist, voice assist, etc., will be available, but with just one variant.
Additionally, with the new frame, TVS has also repositioned the fuel tank to the floorboard, which subsequently led to the change in position of the fuel filler cap below the handlebar. Consequently, by moving the fuel tank, under-seat storage capacity has also increased, and it is capacious enough to accommodate two half-face helmets, just like in the TVS Jupiter 125.
With new underpinnings come newer dimensions, and the new TVS Jupiter 110 has become longer, wider, and even taller. To be more precise, it’s 14 mm longer, 15 mm wider, and 43 mm taller than the outgoing model.
The suspension and brake components have remained similar, though. The new TVS Jupiter 110 equips the same telescopic fork but a gas-filled emulsion damper for the rear instead of hydraulic dampers with 3-step adjustability from before. Similarly, while the drum brake and disc brake-drum brake combo continue here as well, the TVS Jupiter 110 now equips a bigger 220 mm disc brake, while the 130 mm drum brake remains the same.
The TVS Jupiter 110 will be available in four variants. The base-spec Jupiter 110 with the Drum brake is priced at ₹73,700. The mid-spec Drum-Alloy variant will set you back by ₹79,200, while the same with TVS' SmartXonnect feature will set you back ₹83,250. While the top-spec Disc Brake with SmartXonnect feature costs ₹87,250 (all prices, ex-showroom).
