Nissan Motor India has extended its Government-approved CNG retrofitment programme to include the New Nissan Magnite BR10 EZ-Shift AMT, introducing an integrated fuel-filling lid for greater convenience. Following robust demand for the CNG kit on the manual-transmission Magnite BR10 MT earlier this year, the move now allows automatic-gearbox buyers to benefit from factory-approved, high-quality CNG conversion at authorised Nissan centres across 13 states.
The retrofitment package, developed and quality-assured by Motozen Fuel Systems, is compatible with the 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine in both manual and AMT variants. Nissan has re-engineered the fuelling system so that the CNG valve is integrated into the standard fuel lid, replacing the previous under-bonnet placement. This enhancement delivers quicker refuelling, improved ergonomics and a seamless user experience.

Priced at an MRP of ₹71,999, inclusive of the reduced GST rate, the CNG kit comes with the existing three-year or 100,000 km warranty. Nissan has passed the 10 per cent tax reduction directly to customers, ensuring the retrofitment cost remains unchanged despite the upgrade. The programme initially launched in seven states and recently expanded to a further six, covering Delhi-NCR, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Kerala, Karnataka, Rajasthan, Bihar, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Tamil Nadu.
This is not the first time the Nissan Magnite has been offered with CNG; the manual-transmission retrofitment launched earlier this year. However, it marks the inaugural availability of a factory-approved CNG solution for the EZ-Shift AMT variant. As one of India’s safest B-SUVs, the Magnite continues to combine bold styling, segment-leading features and expanding powertrain options to meet evolving customer needs.
