Exclusive anniversary editions with historic liveries are limited to only 125 units each.
TVS-owned Norton Motorcycles has unveiled a series of limited-edition models to mark its 125th anniversary. The British brand will release anniversary editions of the Norton V4 SV, V4 CR, and Commando 961. They maintain the technical specifications of the base models but come with dedicated liveries inspired by historic motorcycling successes.
These special editions come in six new colours, drawing inspiration from past models like the Energette, Manx, Formula 750 Works Racer, and NRS588. Only 125 units of each variant will be produced, adding an exclusive touch to the celebration.
The Commando 961, paying homage to Norton's first motorcycle from 1902, features the Energette colour scheme with a yellow paint, brown leather seat, and chromed-out components. The Manx colour scheme offers a black body and frame with a silver-finished fuel tank. The Transatlantic paint scheme, inspired by the Formula 750 Works Racer's 1972 racing season, presents a white, red, and blue colour scheme.
The '588' paint, available on the 961, V4 SV, and V4 CR, takes cues from race bikes of the 80s and early 90s, featuring blacked-out engine components, forks, suspension, a carbon fibre chain guard, carbon fibre flyscreen, and gold OZ rims. The first public appearance of these limited-edition models is scheduled for the Motorcycle Live Show in Birmingham on November 18.
Sadly, no update on when Norton will be available for an Indian debut but we think that it is still a few years away from an India-worthy product.
