The images, shared on Reddit by a user and later taken down, revealed the Phone 2a will come in a black colour option with a centrally-located hole-punch cutout for the front camera. On the back, it shows a horizontally aligned dual camera setup placed in the middle. Although covered by a privacy case, the camera module appears to consist of two lenses and an LED flash.
Other key details from the leak suggest the Nothing Phone 2a will feature a 6.7-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood will likely be a MediaTek Dimensity 7200 chipset. It is said to have a 50MP Samsung GN9 primary sensor and a secondary 50MP JN1 camera for optics. The selfies will be handled by a 32MP Sony IMX615 front camera.
In addition to confirming India availability via Flipkart, Nothing has stated the Phone 2a will carry forward popular features from the original Phone 2 and deliver improved performance over the Phone 1. However, there are speculations that the Phone 2a will skip the distinctive Glyph lights that have been a major highlight for Nothing phones.
While an official launch date is unannounced, the Phone 2a is expected to make its global debut at the Mobile World Congress later this month.
