New introductory prices only until November 2023

Honda’s two-wheeler portfolio’s transition to the new BS6.2 emission norms continues as the Japanese bikemaker has launched the OBD-compliant CB200X. The adventure tourer carries a sticker price of Rs 1,46,999 (ex-showroom Delhi), making it roughly Rs 1,500 cheaper than before.

Honda

Yep, Honda has slashed the asking price slightly for the bike and also thrown in a slipper clutch, something that it also did with the Hornet 2.0 naked recently. It also now comes in a new Decent Blue Metallic shade, in addition to the existing Pearl Nightster Black and Sport Red options. These new prices, though, are introductory only. Honda has stated that these will remain in effect until November 2023, post which we could see a minor hike.

There’s no change to the output of the 184 cc single, which continues to make 17 bhp and 15.9 Nm. Even the foundations remain the same: a USD fork, preload-adjustable monoshock, 17-inch alloys, rugged yet road-biased tyres and disc brakes at both ends with single-channel ABS.

Honda

Despite the new improvements, the Honda bike lacks true adventure spirit and can be best used in the city primarily. In case you wish to seek off road thrills, you can get the Hero XPulse 200 4V for almost Rs 1000 less than the Honda. Or if you’re very serious about trails, then the Pro version of the XPulse, with adjustable and seriously long-travel suspension components, would cost Rs 1.52 lakh.
