The more cost conscious version of the electric bike can go 90 km on a single charge and has a top speed of 75 kmph.
Odysse Electric has ridden a more affordable version of its Evoquis sport bike into the country. It is called the Evoquis Lite and it carries a sticker price of ₹1.18 lakh (ex-showroom India). It does compromise slightly on the battery capacity and performance, but you will end up saving over ₹51,000 over the standard version.
Hence, the Lite gets a smaller 60V battery that is only good for 90 km of riding. That is nearly 50 km less than the standard bike. Even the outright performance takes a hit with the top speed of 75 kmph being 5 kmph less. And those seem to be the main differentiating points as the rest of the feature set is nearly identical.
The Evoqis Lite will also get multiple riding modes, keyless ignition, LED lighting, disc brakes at both ends and anti-theft locking system. It looks the same as well, the Kawasaki Ninja 300-meets-old Yamaha R3 design still continuing forwards. It is available in five colours: Cobalt Blue, Fire Red, Lime Green, Magna White and Black.
Odysse has not shared delivery timelines for the Lite yet. However, considering the asking price and limited usage capabilities of the e-bike, it would be better if you sought a proper petrol-powered motorcycle or a more reliable and trusted electric scooter, like the TVS iQube or the Bajaj Chetak, which recently saw the launch of the affordable 3503 version.
