The rollout of non-AC ride category covers autos, bikes and cabs.

In a bid to offer budget travel for all, Ola Consumer on Tuesday launched its non-AC ride category across India, becoming the only ride-hailing company in the country to offer this option. The launch of non-AC rides coincides with Ola’s promise to offer maximum choice to its users.

The rollout of non-AC ride category covers autos, bikes and cabs, and offers more earning potential for driver partners.

According to the homegrown ride-hailing firm, the new category of ride creates opportunities for drivers, allowing them to reach a larger base of riders who prefer value-driven fares. With reduced AC usage and lower fuel load, drivers can achieve better cost efficiency and higher take-home earnings.

“With the non-AC category, we’re pushing the boundaries of how affordable and accessible urban mobility can be in India. Millions of people rely on daily, value-driven transport, and this offering is built entirely around their needs.

"The early response has been incredible and shows how strongly India wants more transparent, flexible, and fairly priced mobility. This move marks a step ahead in our mission to rethink mobility in India, and make it truly inclusive for every consumer," an Ola Consumer spokesperson said in a statement.

The announcement comes on the back of Ola’s 0 per cent commission model which enables over a million of its driver partners to retain 100 per cent of their fare earnings with no ride or income limits, as per the company.
