This time the comedian asked the Bangalore-based startup to provide “transparent solutions”.
Continuing his online activism with Ola’s controversial after-sales service, Indian comedian, Kunal Kamra has once again taken to X highlighting the controversial action that the start up has taken to sort out its issues. The latest post shared by the comedian shows bouncers being hired at service centres to tackle customers. “Hey @bhash You’ve sold such an innovative Indian product you’ve had to hire bouncers to protect the staff…”, said the Tweet
This post came after Kamra earlier demanded for transparency from Ola Electric regarding customer refunds and complaint resolution. "Ola Electric hasn't disclosed any plan to issue refunds or put an end date to current customer complaints," the comedian stated, urging Aggarwal to present a public action plan. The online feud between the comedian and the company’s CEO started when Kamra shared photographs of Ola electric scooters reportedly left outside a company store.
Kamra has earlier pointed out that Ola scooter customers have been left with no clear solutions. Aggarwal's response to the comedian was to either help with solutions or "shut up," which sparked widespread criticism from social media users. The exchange intensified when Aggarwal wrote in Hindi, offering Kamra employment at Ola's service center, stating it would "pay better than your flop shows."
The public spat has drawn significant attention from social media users, with many criticising Aggarwal's impolite approach. And the latest issue of hiring bouncers to tackle angry customers instead of fixing the issue just adds more fuel to the fire. However, neither Ola Electric nor its CEO has yet released an official statement regarding their customer service improvement strategy or refund policies.
