After offering affordable scootering mobility solutions, Ola Electric is readying itself for the electric motorcycle market. CEO Bhavish Aggarwal took to X showcasing the upcoming electric motorcycle’s battery pack, motor, frame, and other electrical ancillaries that will be used. And it could arrive as early as August 15.

The foundations give us a hint that the first Ola e-motorcycle will be commuter-centric. The relatively simple downtube chassis houses the battery and motor with the charging port present on the top, usually where you would find the fuel filler cap on petrol bikes. Exact details are scant but the power will be delivered from the motor to the rear wheel via a chain drive.
Furthermore, the footpeg position is rather mid-set and neutral, which should be ideal for commuting. We expect the seat height to be accommodating for riders of all heights while maintaining an easy-to-reach distance to the handlebars.
From the electric motorcycle concepts to product updates, Independence Day has seen the electric two-wheeler manufacturer showcase its new creations. And we are expecting some announcement regarding the same to be made this year as well. Not only that, we also hope to hear more news on the cell manufacturing facility and the IPO that Ola is aiming for in the coming few weeks. Head here to read more on the latter.
