Ola has also extended the introductory price window till August 15, 2023
The base variant of Ola’s electric scooter, the S1 Air, has gotten an extension on its introductory price window till August 15, 2023. Bookings for the Ola S1 Air commenced on July 27, 2023, and were supposed to be available to the public until July 31, 2023, post which the price was set to increase from Rs 1.10 lakh (ex-showroom) to Rs 1.20 lakh (ex-showroom).
However, Ola Electric CEO Bhavish Aggarwal put out a tweet stating that the introductory price window will be extended till August 15, 2023 (12 pm). He also said that demand for the S1 Air had crossed the company’s expectations. Ola first announced the arrival of the S1 Air back in October 2022.
Ola has equipped the S1 Air with a smaller 3 kWh battery pack as opposed to the 4 kWh unit seen on the S1 Pro. As expected, range has reduced, Ola claims a max IDC range of 125 km as opposed to the 165 km of the S1. Charging time for the scooter is 5 hours. Claimed top speed is 90 kmph and it is powered by a 4.5kW peak output motor.
The S1 Air also features a 7-inch TFT screen and gets three riding modes - Eco, Normal and Sport. It rides on steel wheels unlike the top-end S1 Pro and comes with six colour options: Coral Glam, Liquid Silver, Midnight Blue, Stellar Blue, Porcelain White and Neon.
