Ola had a slew of announcements to make at its event, Sankalp 2025. The most noteworthy of them all was the launch of the new Ola S1 Pro+ and the Roadster X+ with 4680 battery packs. These new types of battery cells are known for their high energy density, quicker charging time, and low cost of production. The Ola S1 Pro+ has been launched at ₹1,69,000 (ex-showroom price) and the Roadster X+ will set you back by ₹1,89,999 (ex-showroom price). Both will be available with a flat ₹10,000 discount on the reduced prices until August 17.

Ola S1 Pro+

The Ola S1 Pro+ is now powered by a 5.2 kWh battery pack instead of the 5.3 kWh capacity available before, but the range has remained the same at 320 km on a single charge. It continues to be paired to a 13 kW electric motor that produces 58 Nm of peak torque and can accelerate from 0 to 40 kmph in 2.1 seconds.

The Ola S1 Pro+ is based on the Gen3 platform, so the rest of the hardware and the overall design has remained the same. In the coming months, it will even support the brand’s latest MoveOS 6 software update, which will give you numerous features, from traction control to ABS and even ADAS.

Ola Roadster X+

The Ola Roadster X+'s battery capacity has remained the same at 9.1 kWh, which is good for 501 km of IDC-claimed range as before. The battery powers an 11 kW electric motor that produces 58 Nm, which is good for a top speed of 125 kmph while accelerating from 0 to 40 kmph in 2.7 seconds.

Just like the S1 Pro+, the Ola Roadster X+ remains unchanged with regards to its hardware and design. It will be compatible with the MoveOS 6 software. It will also gain the world’s first rare-earth magnet-free electric motor, which Ola Electric is currently developing. The Ferrite Magnet is currently undergoing testing and has been touted as going into production soon. For more details, head to this link.
