Omega Seiki Mobility (OSM) has opened a new assembly plant in Dubai, its first-ever production unit outside India. The unit, which will be operational by the end of 2025, has been set up in Jafza (Jebel Ali Free Zone Access) in Dubai with a planned investment of $25 million (roughly ₹218 crore) over the next five years.
The plant will span over 42,000 sq ft and will assemble OSM’s electric two- and three-wheeler. It will also act as a storage and distribution facility for components and spare parts. OSM said this facility has been set up with the aim of serving its export markets across the Middle East and Africa.
In addition to electric vehicles, OSM also plans to have CNG-powered commercial vehicles in select African markets. The CNG vehicles will act as a stopgap measure in those areas till EV infrastructure matures.
OSM has a wide range of commercial vehicles in its portfolio. It has 11 three-wheelers falling in the Rage+, Stream and Tipper range, as well as two two-wheelers and two commercial trucks.
