The dashboard predicts a robust 45.5 per cent Compounded Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) from 2022 to 2030.

In a significant development for India's electric mobility sector, the OMI Foundation unveiled the EV-Ready India Dashboard, a comprehensive digital platform aimed at offering insights into the growth of the electric vehicle (EV) industry. The EV Ready India Dashboard, available at evreadyindia.org, is said to provide real-time data and AI-driven analysis, making it a valuable tool for industry players, policymakers, and potential EV buyers. The dashboard predicts a robust 45.5 per cent Compounded Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) from 2022 to 2030, with annual sales projected to increase from 6,90,550 electric two-wheelers (E2Ws) in 2022 to 1,39,36,691 E2Ws in 2030.

Notably, the dashboard highlights Maharashtra's emergence as a major player in the EV industry, with annual EV sales expected to reach 35.15 lakhs by 2030, boasting a CAGR of 50.16 per cent between 2022 and 2030. Maharashtra and Delhi are recognised for hosting the highest number of charging stations in India, with 2531 and 1815, respectively. However, the dashboard also reveals that charging density in Maharashtra is 75, indicating the need for further expansion to accommodate the growing number of EVs.

For policymakers and industry professionals, the dashboard offers consolidated sales data for all 34 VAHAN states and Union Territories, as well as Telangana. For potential EV buyers, the dashboard calculates the financial benefits of EV ownership, including potential savings on upfront costs, and operating, and maintenance expenses.

Users can also access a list of eligible EV models for subsidies and the amount of such subsidies. Moreover, the platform serves as a repository of policies and regulations covering all aspects of the EV ecosystem, allowing states to compare and update their policies as needed. It also offers insights into charging infrastructure, including tariffs, aiding states in making competitive adjustments.

The launch of the EV-Ready India Dashboard reflects a growing focus on electric mobility in India and the concerted efforts to make data-driven, sustainable decisions for the country's future. With forecasts of 1.6 crore annual EV deployments by 2030, it's evident that India is poised for significant growth in the electric vehicle sector, which aligns with global trends towards cleaner, more sustainable transportation options.
