DALL-E now integrates with ChatGPT to create visuals from text-based prompts.
OpenAI has officially unveiled DALL-E 3, its latest iteration of the popular text-to-image tool succeeding DALL-E 2. With this update, DALL-E now integrates with ChatGPT to create visuals from text-based prompts. Users can now use the AI chatbot as a brainstorming partner.
Users can ask ChatGPT to generate tailored and detailed prompts for DALL-E 3 by simply describing their vision in a sentence or a detailed paragraph. This feature makes it easier to fine-tune image generation based on user preferences.
OpenAI claims that DALL-E 3 represents a substantial improvement over its previous systems. It now understands more nuanced and detailed prompts, making it easier for users to translate their ideas into highly accurate images. This update makes DALL-E more valuable for artists, designers, and content creators.
OpenAI has implemented various safeguards with DALL-E 3, such as its ability to limit the generation of content that may be violent, adult-oriented, or hateful. Moreover, DALL-E 3 will decline requests for images of public figures and those seeking to replicate living artists' styles.
DALL-E 3 now also allows creators to choose whether they want their work to be used for training future text-to-image tools, giving them more control over the use of their creation in training future AI models.
DALL-E 3 is currently in research preview and will be available to ChatGPT Plus and Enterprise customers in early October through the API. Later in the fall, it will be accessible in OpenAI Labs.
