Oppo has extended Hasselblad HyperTone innovation to its Reno 11 and OnePlus 12 lineups.
Oppo has unveiled the cutting-edge Hasselblad HyperTone camera system during its annual photography forum, a technology set to grace the upcoming Find X7 series. In a move as surprising as it is audacious, the firm is extending this innovation to its Reno 11 and OnePlus 12 lines.
The HyperTone image engine represents a leap in computational photography, designed to vanquish the vexing distortions and other all-too-familiar foibles of mobile photography. With an AI-infused denoising process in the RAW domain and a photon matrix technology that adjusts individual pixel luminosity, Oppo is turning what was once a cacophony of visual noise into a symphony of clarity.
The result? A promise of 30% enhanced sharpness and a staggering 60% reduction in visual noise. This new engine doesn't just capture images; it wields tone mapping and image fusion akin to blending the best ingredients into a Michelin-starred dish.
Colour accuracy gets a significant boost, banishing the dreaded 'blooming' effect to the annals of history, all thanks to Oppo's onboard AI. Even 'potato shots'—those murky, unclear images—gain a newfound sense of space and depth.
For those with a penchant for the dramatic, the Find X7's telephoto lens is touted as a Herculean zoom system, unparalleled in the smartphone arena, offering photographers more latitude than ever in dimly lit environments. Oppo isn't just pushing the envelope—they could be rewriting the rulebook as they have shown great improvements with cameras this year across brands like OnePlus and the Find X6 series.
