Pay ₹71751 For The Triumph Scrambler 400 XC’s Cross-spoke Wheels

Triumph has announced the prices of the cross-spoke tubeless spoke wheels of the Scrambler 400 XC and it is bound to make your bank balance a whole lot lighter. Triumph India is quoting ₹34,876 for the front wheel only and you will have to pay ₹36,875 for the rear wheel. That is a whopping ₹71,751 for just a pair of wheels! 

Yep, the price difference between the Scrambler 400 X and 400 XC might be around ₹30,000 but those spokes are pricey. Heck, even Royal Enfield isn’t charging as much for the similar fancier and more convenient rims for the Himalayan 450. Those cost around ₹40,000 and that is still digestible. 

Furthermore, there is no warranty for Scrambler 400 X owners who decide to swap their far more versatile alloy wheels out for these tubeless spokes. This is despite the buyer getting the wheels fitted via an authorised Triumph service centre. For the 400 XC buyers, only manufacturing defects on the rim part only and not the actual spokes will be covered in warranty, not dents or bends. 

Hence our suggestion to existing Scrambler 400 X owners would be to not bother getting these rims and jeopardise their bike’s warranty or burn a hole through their wallet. And for those who are thinking of purchasing the Scrambler 400 XC, you might want to start an emergency fund in case you run into some troubles with the rims.
