Poco C61 Launched in India: 5000mAh Battery, Price Starts at Rs. 7,499

Poco has announced the launch of its low-cost C61 smartphone in India. The device is listed on Flipkart with prices starting at Rs. 7,499 and will go on sale starting from March 28. The base variant at that price has 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, and there’s also an option with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage listed at Rs. 8,499. Poco says the effective starting price with launch offers will be Rs. 6,999. The device will be available in three colours: Diamond Dust Black, Ethereal Blue, and Mystical Green.

According to Poco, the new Poco C61 is a “fashion statement” thanks to its glass back and “radiant ring design”, a prominent bump housing the rear cameras. This 4G-capable phone is powered by the MediaTek HelioG36 SoC. It has a 6.71-inch HD+ (720x1650-pixel) 90Hz display and a 5000mAh battery. Poco has used Gorilla Glass 3 on the front.

The primary rear camera has an 8-megapixel resolution and there’s an unspecified secondary rear camera. For selfies, there’s a 5-megapixel front camera. Video recording tops out at 1080p 30fps for the front and rear cameras. Poco touts built-in “antique filters” to make photos look interesting.

You get a 10W USB Type-C charger and a protective case in the box. The Poco C61 weighs 199g and is 8.3mm thick. Other features include a dedicated microSD card slot, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, and a 3.5mm audio socket. The device runs Android 14 out of the box. It supports dual 4G nano-SIMs, Bluetooth 5.4, Wi-Fi ac, and GPS.
