Porsche has revealed a new special edition of the 911, called the 911 Club Coupe. Based on the Carrera T variant of the 911, the Club Coupe commemorates the 70 years of the Porsche Club of America (PCA), the largest group of Porsche owners, which was founded in 1955.
The Club Coupe will be limited to just 70 units and will be sold exclusively to PCA members in the United States of America and Canada. This is also not the first time Porsche has built a 911 to commemorate the PCA. In 2005, Porsche revealed the 911 Carrera S Club Coupe (based on the 997.1 generation) and in 2015 came the 911 Carrera GTS Club Coupe (based on the 991.1 generation). The first Club Coupe edition was finished in Azurro California, while the second one was finished in Club Blau. The latest Club Coupe gets a Paint to Sample (PTS) Sholarbluemetallic colour, a new rendition of the Club Blau.
There’s a Sport Design front fascia with red accents as well as red accents on the bonnet cover at the back. It gets a staggered wheel setup with 20 inches in the front and 21-inches at the back, and the wheels are finished in Satin Black. The grey ORVMs of the Carrera T have now been finished in the same colour as the rest of the car. The bonnet cover also gets a “70 years PCA” badge in Blue and Silver.
You also get illuminated door sills with “Porsche Club of America” lettering as well as puddle lamps with the “PCA 70 years” logo. The interior is finished in Black with Blue and Red contrast stitching. The seats get a unique tartan fabric with blue, white and red colours and the same fabric is also used to line the glove box. The owners of the 911 Club Coupe will also get a unique wristwatch by Porsche Design, which can be had with either a titanium bracelet or a velcro strap in PCA colours and branding.
Mechanically, the 911 Club Coupe is identical to the Carrera T, meaning it has a 3.0-litre, twin-turbocharged flat-six engine with 388 bhp and 450 Nm, mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. This should help propel it from 0-100 kmph in 4.5 seconds and have a top speed of 295 kmph (claimed). To know more about the Carrera T, head here.
