The Porsche Panamera GTS is price priced in India At ₹2.33 Crore.
Just days after setting a new lap record at the Nurburgring, Porsche has finally revealed the most powerful variant of the Panamera, the Turbo S E-Hybrid. Alongside, the German marque has revealed a new GTS variant that will be coming to India and is priced at ₹2.33 crore (ex-showroom, India).
The two new variants get a 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine but both get a different state of tune. In the GTS, it produces 493 bhp (20 bhp more than before) and 660 Nm. Porsche claims the Panamera GTS can accelerate from 0-100 kmph in 3.8 seconds and has a top speed of 302 kmph.
In the Turbo S E-Hybrid, the V8 engine is mated to an electric motor which produces 771 bhp and 1000 Nm (combined). The engine produces 591 bhp, while the gearbox-mounted electric motor produces 188 bhp. It can accelerate from 0-100 kmph in 2.9 seconds and has a top speed of 325 kmph. The Turbo S E-Hybrid gets a 25.9 kWh battery pack with an electric-only range of up to 88 km. It comes with an 11 kW charger that can fully charge the battery in two hours and 39 minutes.
Interestingly, Porsche has changed the turbochargers in the Panamera. Instead of a twin-scroll turbocharger, the new V8 engine now comes with a single-scroll unit. Porsche claims this reduces the warm-up phase of the catalytic converters. Both the cars come with an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. In the Turbo S E-Hybrid, the electric motor is integrated into the gearbox housing and the cooling unit.
Cosmetically, the Turbo S E-Hybrid models get a slightly different bumper with a larger air intake, a bigger front splitter, gurney flaps on the rear spoiler and four circular exhaust tips. It will also get the Acid Green colour for the brake callipers which is available on E-Hybrid models.
In India, Porsche sells two variants of the Panamera. The standard model is priced at ₹1.69 crore, while the GTS is priced at ₹2.33 crore. (All prices ex-showroom, India).
