Porsche has unveiled the latest iteration of its luxury sedan, the Panamera, marking the vehicle's third generation. This model introduces a host of digital enhancements, a redesigned aesthetic, and an expanded range of driving dynamics. The key features include the Porsche Active Ride suspension system, offering heightened comfort while maintaining the brand's renowned sporty driving characteristics. The Panamera integrates the digital ecosystem into the Porsche Communication Management (PCM), providing ways to interact with the vehicle. The dynamic design of the new Panamera enhances its attractive proportions, complemented by a driver-centric interior and an array of driver assistance systems.
Standard on the new Panamera is the dual-chamber two-valve air suspension with Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), offering a broad range between comfort and sportiness. Optional all-wheel steering further improves handling. Notably, the Porsche Active Ride active suspension system is available for e-Hybrid models, providing an unprecedented balance between driving comfort and dynamics.
The Panamera introduces four efficient e-Hybrid powertrains, including the Panamera Turbo e-Hybrid with a revised 4.0-litre V8 turbo engine and an integrated electric motor. This powerhouse achieves a system output of 671 bhp and a remarkable 930 Nm torque, accelerating from 0 to 100 kmph in 3.2 seconds with a top speed of 315 kmph. The electric range is up to 91 km in the combined WLTP cycle.
The exterior maintains the Panamera's characteristic lines while receiving a modernised look with additional air intakes and a redesigned window line. Inside, the Porsche Driver Experience cockpit balances digital and analogue controls, enhancing the driver's interaction with essential elements.
Porsche offers a passenger display for an immersive experience, displaying performance data and supporting infotainment operations. Model variants with the Turbo name, including the Panamera Turbo e-Hybrid, feature distinctive exterior elements and exclusive colour options.
The new Panamera seamlessly integrates into the driver's digital ecosystem, allowing personalized interaction through a Porsche ID. Standard features include Matrix LED headlights, and the vehicle boasts an upgraded suite of assistance systems, including active speed assistant and Porsche InnoDrive.
The Panamera is available for order, with pricing starting from €107,800 in Germany, inclusive of VAT and country-specific equipment. Deliveries in Europe are set to commence in March 2024. Production takes place at Porsche's Leipzig factory, which has undergone modifications to accommodate the latest generation of the Panamera.
