Realme shared a teaser image last week asking users to "wait for the real update".
Realme has dropped hints about its upcoming mid-range smartphone, which is expected to feature a periscope telephoto camera. In a post on X (formerly called Twitter), Realme shared a teaser image last week asking users to "wait for the real update". The teaser tagline "No Periscope. No Flagship" strongly indicates the upcoming phone will pack a periscope lens.

Realme's X account posted a teaser with a Morse code earlier this week. The company is expected to reveal more details about the phone at an event scheduled for January 3rd at 7:30 AM IST, as hinted by the Morse code in the teaser translating to "MAKE IT REAL".

Tipsters claim the mysterious device is likely the Realme 12 Pro+ that has been spotted on certification sites. If rumours are to be believed, the Realme 12 Pro+ will debut in India by the end of January or February next year. It may be powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 mobile platform and sport a 64MP OmniVision periscope lens, allowing 3x optical zoom.
In 2020, the Realme 6 Pro featured a 12MP telephoto camera, but the company skipped it on the 7 Pro. Realme's upcoming phone, rumoured to be the Realme 12 Pro+, is also said to be its first mid-range phone with a dedicated periscope camera.
