Besides that revised body design and a couple more standard features, the sub-compact SUV mechanically remains the same.
After the revised Renault Triber comes the rejigged Renault Kiger for 2025. The sub-compact SUV has undergone a subtle-yet-distinguishable design change, and four more features have been standardised over the outgoing iteration. Prices have also increased and the 2025 Kiger range starts from ₹6.29 lakh (ex-showroom) making it ₹14,000 more expensive than the outgoing which started from ₹6.15 lakh. Renault has launched the 2025 Kiger in four variants – Authentic, Evolution, Techno, and Emotion. However, at the time of writing this copy, Renault has confirmed that there will be 5 more variants.
Variants | MT Price | AT Price |
Authentic | ₹6.29 lakh | NA |
Evolution | ₹7.09 lakh | NA |
Techno | ₹8.19 lakh | NA |
Emotion | ₹9.14 lakh | NA |
Gone are the curvy front overhangs, and in comes a more squarish bumper accentuated by a lot of straight lines. The grille now commands more attention, and with that hexagonal silver cladding design, the Kiger now looks slightly rugged as well. The LED DRL design has also been revised, plus the new 2D Renault logo in the centre is now flanked by a new single chrome insert line. Meanwhile, the headlamps have remained the same. The rear of the SUV looks the same, too, retaining the same C-shaped taillight from before, but the bumper design has been slightly revised.
The 2025 Renault Kiger will now be available with 21 safety features as standard, instead of 17 from before. The cabin has remained the same, too, retaining the same 8-inch infotainment touchscreen that supports both wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Wireless charging capability continues to be available, too; however, the positioning of the charging pad has changed from before. Lastly, the cabin will now feel more silent and thus refined because Renault has worked on the cabin’s insulation level by adding thicker floor carpets, enhancing the dash and cowl insulation and on the A-pillars.
Mechanically, the Renault Kiger carries forward the same 1.0-litre petrol and 1.0-litre turbo petrol engines from before, producing 71 bhp/96 Nm and 98.63 bhp/ 152 Nm, respectively. Both engines get a 5-speed manual, and while the petrol comes with a 5-speed AMT, the turbo petrol gets a CVT gearbox instead.
The 2025 Renault Kiger competes with the Tata Punch, Hyundai Exter, Tata Nexon, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, and Skoda Kylaq. It shares its platform with the Magnite, which is also one of its key rivals.
