The Triber facelift was launched in India in July this year.

Renault India joins a growing number of car and bike manufacturers in India that have announced price hikes starting from January 2026. The company’s current lineup consists of the Kwid micro hatchback which starts at ₹4.29 lakh, Kiger subcompact SUV which costs 5.76 lakh and above, and the Triber midsize MPV which recently received a facelift and also starts at ₹5.76 lakh (all prices ex-showroom). The next-gen Duster compact SUV is set to launch on January 26. All prices will rise by around 2 percent, in line with what other automakers including Renault’s longtime alliance partner Nissan indicated less than a week ago.

Mercedes-Benz India, JSW MG Motor India, Triumph, BMW Motorrad India, and Ather Energy are among the other manufacturers that have already confirmed price rises. Like them, the French carmaker cites international currency value fluctuations and the rising costs of raw materials. Those who have already planned to complete a purchase before the end of December should not be affected by the price hike.

More companies are expected to announce price increases over the next several weeks. Mercedes-Benz has also confirmed that it will likely revisit prices on a quarterly basis, as the increases already announced do not entirely make up for the Rupee’s recent decline in value against foreign currencies.
