The Triber facelift will be the first of the five launches Renault India will bring by 2027.
Renault India has sent out an invitation for an upcoming launch, marked as “rethink space”. Sources have confirmed to Acko Drive that this is for the Triber facelift, which will launch in India on July 23, 2025. This will be the first of the five models Renault India has promised to launch in the country by 2027.
The Triber has been on sale in India since 2019, and this facelift has been a long time coming. The facelifted MPV will have a new grille and bumpers, new headlamps and taillamps, new alloy wheel designs and possibly, Renault’s new 2D logo seen on the brand’s new global models.
Inside, the Triber is likely to have a revised dashboard design, with a new infotainment touchscreen and virtual cluster. Expect the features list of the Triber to also be updated with the facelift, with the possible inclusion of a 360-degree camera. The Triber is unlikely to lose its unique removable third row, which has been one of its unique selling points.
Another unique selling point for the Triber was its compact dimensions. The outgoing Triber measures 3990 mm in length, 1739 mm in width, and 1643 mm in height. The Triber could be marginally longer, but won’t breach the 4-metre mark to take advantage of the sub-4-metre segment subsidies.
The Triber got four stars for adult safety and two stars for child safety from Global NCAP in 2021, but it was tested under the older, more lenient protocols. Still, the Triber comes with 4 airbags only, and they are also not standard across the range. Hopefully, the Triber facelift will get six airbags as standard.
Powering the current Triber is a 1.0-litre petrol engine with 71 bhp and 96 Nm, mated to either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT. It is highly unlikely this will change with the facelift. Earlier this year, Renault launched the retro-fitted CNG kit for the Triber, and the same should continue with the facelift too.
Since the Triber sits in its own unique sub-4 metre MPV segment, it has no direct rivals. However, it still competes with the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga and Toyota Rumion. The outgoing Triber is priced between ₹6.14 - 8.75 lakh (ex-showroom, India) and the facelifted version is expected to be priced at a slight premium.
