The Royal Enfield Classic 650 shares a lot of elements with the Shotgun 650.
Royal Enfield might finally launch the much-awaited and delayed Classic 650 next week on March 27. It will continue with the brand's strategy to expand its twin-cylinder portfolio while maintaining its vintage design philosophy.
The flagship Classic shares much of its framework from the Shotgun 650, including the engine, main chassis, braking system, and suspension components. But it will be the heaviest bike in Royal Enfield's collection, tipping the scales at 243 kg. Royal Enfield has also fitted the Classic 650 with specially developed MRF Nylohigh tyres, distinguishing it from other bikes in the 650 cc family.

Power comes from the brand's established 648 cc parallel-twin mill delivering 46.35 bhp and 52 Nm, and the engine comes paired to a 6-speed gearbox. Thus the performance figures remain the same across the range.
The Royal Enfield Classic 650 will be sold with the choice of four colour options: Red, Blue, Teal, and Black Chrome. We expect Royal Enfield will position the “Big” Classic bike as a premium offering, so somewhere between ₹3.65 lakh - ₹3.70 lakh is what we expect. For reference, the base Super Meteor 650 is priced at ₹3.64 lakh and the Shotgun is ₹3.59 lakh (all prices are ex-showroom, India).
